Found a bug, have an idea, or stuck on a night? It helps to mention your iPhone model and iOS version. We usually answer within a few days.

How do I play?

Survive the night. Your left thumb moves Manggis with a joystick that appears wherever you touch the left half of the screen. The blaster aims and fires by itself at the nearest enemy, and the frying pan swings at anything that gets close, so your job is where you stand. Enemies drop banknotes a little behind them: step toward the crowd to collect them, then get out.

How does the ammo drum work?

The big round button at the right edge is the ammo firing now; the small circles around it are the next and previous chambers of the drum. Tap the big button to turn the drum one chamber, tap a small circle to jump to it, or swipe up or down on the drum to turn it, and flick to spin it. The number on each chamber is its rounds left; the seed never runs out. When an ammo runs dry, the drum turns to the next one by itself. A crate of ammo lands every night: walk to it to open it.

What does DASH do?

DASH, left of the drum, throws Manggis a short way in the direction you are steering, and nothing can hit her while she dashes. Its rim refills over about three seconds. Use it to slip through a gap in the crowd.

Can I put the joystick on the right?

Yes. Open Settings from the gear, or from the pause button during a night, and set JOYSTICK to RIGHT. The drum and DASH move to the bottom left.

What are banknotes for?

Between nights the Broker sells ammo and items for the banknotes you collected that run. When a run ends, whatever is left goes into your wallet, and you spend the wallet at the MARKET on the title screen, before the next run. The market’s shelf changes every four hours.

Do I have to buy anything?

No. Manggis is free and has no ads. Two packs of banknotes can be bought with real money if you want them; nothing in the game is locked behind them. Purchases are processed by Apple, and the banknotes go straight into your wallet.

I bought banknotes and got a new phone. How do I get them back?

Banknote packs are consumables, so the App Store’s “Restore Purchases” does not bring them back. Your banknotes, progress and ammo live in the game’s save on your iPhone, and when you are signed in to Game Center (with iCloud Drive on) the game keeps a copy of that save in your own iCloud. On a new phone or after reinstalling, sign in to Game Center with the same Apple Account and the game loads that copy. If your phone already has progress of its own, the game asks which save to keep. If something still went wrong, write to us with the date of the purchase.

How do I sign in to Game Center?

If your iPhone is signed in to Game Center, Manggis signs you in quietly at launch. Otherwise open STATS on the title screen (the Ledger) and tap GAME CENTER. From there you can also see the three leaderboards (Best Night, Fastest Win, Enemies Defeated) and the twelve achievements.

How do I change the language?

Manggis starts in your iPhone’s language if it speaks it: English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, Korean or Indonesian. To choose another, open Settings from the gear on the title screen and tap LANGUAGE.

How do I turn off the sound or the haptics?

Settings, behind the gear on the title screen or the pause button in a night, has SOUND and HAPTICS switches.

Which devices does Manggis run on?

iPhone with iOS 15 or later. It plays in landscape and works offline.
