1. Who we are
Manggis is a game for iPhone made by Ilya Pavlov under the NYKYTAP name ("we"). This policy covers the Manggis app only. For anything about it, write to [email protected].
2. The short version
- Manggis has no account, no sign-in of its own and no ads.
- We never ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.
- We do not use the advertising identifier and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- The app sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports so we can see how the game is played and fix what breaks. None of it is linked to you.
- Your progress is saved on your iPhone. We have no server that keeps it.
3. What stays on your iPhone
Your progress and records (your best night, your last run and the totals the game shows you), your wallet of banknotes, your ammo, the market's current shelf, the purchases already credited and your settings (sound, haptics, joystick side, language) are saved in one file on your device. We never receive it. Deleting the app deletes it, unless a copy is kept in Game Center, as described below.
4. What the app sends, and to whom
We use these services to understand how Manggis is played and to find crashes:
- Google Firebase Analytics: an app instance identifier created by Firebase, events from the game (for example a run or a night started, completed or failed, and purchases in the game's shops), session length, device model, iOS version, language and app version, and an approximate location (country or region) that Google derives from your IP address.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: when the app crashes or hits an error, a crash report with the stack trace, the screen it happened on, device model, iOS version and a Crashlytics installation identifier.
- Amplitude: the same kind of game events in more detail (for example which ammo was used and when a hit was taken), a session identifier, sent with Apple's identifier for vendors (a random identifier that is the same only across our own apps on your device), device model and manufacturer, iOS version, language and app version. Amplitude derives an approximate location from your IP address.
- Amplitude, purchases: when you buy a pack of banknotes, which pack it was, the price and currency the App Store charged, and how many banknotes your wallet then holds; when a purchase fails, the reason. This is purchase history, used only to understand which packs are bought. It never includes your payment details, which we never see.
We never set a user identifier with Firebase or Amplitude, so none of this is linked to your name, your Apple Account or any account. We use it only for analytics and to fix problems. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers or use it to show ads.
These providers process the data on our behalf under their own terms: Firebase privacy and Amplitude privacy. Their servers may be located outside your country, including in the United States.
5. In-app purchases
The two packs of banknotes are optional and are sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment under your Apple Account and its own privacy policy; we never see your name, card or billing details. The game keeps the identifiers of the transactions it has credited on your iPhone, so that each purchase pays out once.
6. Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, Manggis reports your scores to its three leaderboards (Best Night, Fastest Win, Enemies Defeated) and the achievements you earn, and keeps a copy of your save in your own iCloud (when iCloud Drive is on), so a new phone or a reinstall can pick up where you left off. Game Center and iCloud are Apple's services, run under your Apple Account and Apple's privacy policy. We receive none of this data. You can sign out of Game Center in your iPhone's Settings; the game works the same without it. Resetting the game from its Settings deletes the iCloud copy too.
7. How long it is kept
Firebase keeps analytics events for no more than 14 months and Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days, then deletes them. We keep Amplitude events only while they help us improve the game, and delete them when they no longer do.
8. Children
Manggis is rated 9+ and has nothing in it that asks for personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The data described above is anonymous and is collected the same way for every player.
9. Your choices and rights
You can stop all collection by deleting the app. If you would like us to delete analytics data related to your device, or have any question about your data, email [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Changes
If the app starts collecting anything new, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version is released.
